British Penpals Blog

For fun, friendship and maybe even romance!

Hi, has been up and running since 1999 and over the last 10 years we have put thousands of penpals in touch with each other.

Some people join British Penpals looking for a bit of fun, some are looking for new friends, some join to find out about people with very different lifestyles to themselves, others want to write to someone in uniform. We also have people who are looking for romance and whilst we can’t guarantee that you will find what you are looking for most that join us go away happy.

The first marriage between members of British Penpals that we are aware of came in 2001 and was an American couple. At the time he was in the US Air Force and they had their first child in 2003. Knowing we helped that happen gives us a great buzz, but we are just as happy when we receive a letter from a soldier telling us how much he values the letters he gets from home when he is on a posting thousands of miles from home.

We give free membership to British Penpals to all military personnel and to join all they need to do is fill in the form at:

If you are not in the military but would like to add your profile to the site all you need to do is send us the following information:

1) Your name and date of birth

2) Where you are from  – country, state, town

3) A 30 word ad about yourself

4) Whether you would like our members to make initial contact with you via e-mail, ordinarly post or either. (we will need your full address if you are happy for people to write letters to you – we find most members prefer initial contact to be made via e-mail)

Send the above to us at  Head your e-mail “Free profile -blog” and we will do the rest.
